Granny's Kountry Candles is a family owned & operated business. We started out over 6 years ago as a small craft store in historic, downtown Wauseon known as The Crafty Lady. Like a lot of smaller stores, we had a little bit of everything and were still looking for "that special something".

 

Let me back up and explain something, I am a firm believer in, "Just Do It"! Failure is just an excuse to try something else. The worst thing that could happen is your idea won't work and you will have to come up with something else. This is a motto I live by and has brought me knowledge in areas that I never thought about.

 

That being said, we were looking for that "something" and with little extra cash flow, I began making our candles to supplement our sagging craft sales.

 

At the time, soybean candles were unheard of and, of course, that's what I wanted to do. I researched, experimented and after several years of trial, error & a lot of perseverance, we unveiled Granny's Kountry Candles, LLC. At that time we had 30 fragrances and 1 jar style. Today we are bursting with over 200 fragrances and over 10 jar styles to choose from with new styles & designs being added all the time!
